Circulyzer separation unit
The Circulyzer separation unit is a compact system for wet density separation and washing of various residues and waste mixtures. The fully automated module in container design is particularly suitable for the processing of
- plastic/plastic,
- plastic/metal and
- plastic/paper
mixtures. In addition to separation, the treated materials can also be washed. For efficient separation, the materials must be previously shredded to < 10 – 40 mm.
Integration into a stable frame construction makes handling and transport as well as installation in new and existing recycling plants easier. The frame is also used to attach various peripheral system components such as material feed systems.
The pump required to operate the system (Circulyzer included in delivery) can be placed next to the Circulyzer unit directly or underneath the Circulyzer unit (in a high-mounted version) as required.
The frame is made of coated black steel and the parts in contact with the medium are made of stainless steel (V4A, 1.4571 or similar).
In the simplest case, water is used as the separation medium for density separation, but depending on the requirements of the separation task or input, salt solutions (brines), slurries, water-surfactant mixtures, etc. can also be used.
Benefits of the Circulyzer separation unit
Simple & user friendly
1 Cylindrical tube with 4 openings – no rotating or moving parts in the separation unit; vortex for separation is only created by flow (low maintenance)
7 Solid steel frame for easy manipulation and integration, as well as holding and supporting additional (external) system components
Robust & stable in operation
2 Patented dosing system via forced conveying – hence, continuous and stable material input
3 Speed-controlled free-flow pump for stable and trouble-free separation medium flow
6 Safe and stable operation through fully automated process monitoring including adequate sensors (pressure, level and flow), functional control and clear user interface (HMI)
Effective & efficient
1 & 2 High separation efficiency due to the separation in the centrifugal force field and decoupling of the material feed from the separation medium supply (high residence time)
4 Simple inclination adjustment via hydraulic cylinder with hand pump ensures appropriate and optimized light material discharge and increased separation efficiency
5 Counter pressure vessel stabilizes the separating vortex at the heavy material discharge, no material short circuit possible
Energy requirement
The specific energy requirement is around 3-15 kWh/t input
Separation process control
Regarding the parameters: separation medium volume flow, pipe length, inclination, etc. there are several influencing factors for the separation process
Technical data
The Circulyzer separation units are currently manufactured in 3 sizes. The standardization in the design leads to a very attractive price-performance ratio for our customers.
If necessary, the systems can be planned and manufactured according to customer requirements; we will be happy to take your wishes into account and supply you with your tailor-made system. Special requirements, new ideas… just give it to us, we’ll take care of it!
